The CRD-1500-4000 four slot serial cradle provides fast, automatic, multiple unit synchronization capabilities for the SPT 1500 terminals. It is also compatible with and works with standard Palm, Inc. Palm IIIs. It is designed for vertical markets and business applications where numerous SPT 1500 's may be in use at the same location. These vertical applications typically require the ability to synchronize both data and applications software with many SPT 1500 's at the same time.

Rather than a "one device to one PC" model as in a typical consumer Palm device application, the CRD-1500 multi-slot cradle supports many SPT 1500 to one PC or host computer model which is much more characteristic of vertical markets and enterprise business applications.

The CRD-1500S four slot serial cradle is a scalable design that accommodates a range of applications from just a few users synchronizing to a single local PC, to the opposite extreme where many users need to synchronize to numerous, different remote host computers. Scalability is achieved by daisy chaining up to 8 cradles together which allows 32 concurrently cradled SPT1500 's to be sychronized over a single serial connection to the local computer.

In addition, it detects the presence of an SPT 1500 in each slot and starts synchronization automatically without the need for user intervention.
