The Portsmith Modem Charging Cradle is for use with Palm m125/130/500/505/515 or i705 Series handhelds and enables a telephone connection to a host computer. Handheld users can access and transfer critical information as easily as making a phone call.
The Modem Charging Cradle is designed specifically for a Palm product. It has a custom designed mechanical interface to accommodate the handheld in the front. At the rear are three connections. One is the power jack, which is compatible with the provided AC adaptor. The other two connections are phone jacks. "Line In" is provided to bring the phone connection from the wall (or telephone company) line into the device. "Line Out" is provided to pass the signal through the device to a phone or other device that shares the line.
