The Teklogix TKX 7040, is compatible with Direct Sequence 2.4 GHz wireless networks conforming to the IEEE 802.11 open architecture as well as 2.4 GHz Proxim RangeLAN II Networks. It complements Teklogix'current product line by providing a smaller, lighter terminal, on a 32-bit DOS open platform.
Ergonomically designed and balanced for one hand operation, this terminal weighs only 400 grams (14 oz.) including battery, radio and integrated laser scanner. It features up to 4 MB of RAM and up to 8 MB of non-volatile memory as a flash file system. Up to 25 lines of 20 characters of information can be presented on the hand-held's high resolution, back lit LCD graphic screen.
The Teklogix 7040 is capable of reading all common barcode symbologies.
Although light and compact, it is designed for industrial use in harsh conditions and is resistant to damage from dropping, water and dust.
