The design is based on 2.4 GHz frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) technology, which was pioneered by Proxim and integrated into its award-winning products.
Operating at a data rate of 2 Mbps, the RangeLAN 802 8520 AP is ideal for providing fast wireless infrastructure to support bandwidth-hungry applications in general office, education, industrial, transportation, hospital, and military environments.
For the largest possible area coverage, Proxim XR technology boosts radio output power to 400 MW. XR technology can provide area coverage increases approaching 30% indoors and 100% outdoors.
