Symbol EB-2401

Symbol's Spectrum24 EB 2401 Ethernet Bridge provides reliable, cost-effective interfaces between Symbol Spectrum24 access points and devices with Ethernet ports such as printers, scales, manufacturing machinery, bar code readers, time clocks, point-of-sale, and other data collection and computing devices.

Simple to install and easy to configure, the EB2401 wirelessly connects these essential - yet often remote and difficult to wire - productivity and performance devices to vital network information, while providing the important ability to transmit and receive data in real time.

They can also be used with portable computers requiring wireless LAN access but which don't have a PC-card slot. And the EB2401 is easily configured to support a variety of installation requirements,from temporary workgroup settings to sites with architectural constraints.

The EB 2401 is based on frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) technology; and transmit data at up to 1 Mbps and to ranges of up to 2,000 ft/606 m. Wide temperature range and robust mechanical design deliver reliable performance in the most demanding environments. IEEE 802.11 versions enable both bridges to inter-operate in 802.11 network environments.
