The Symbol PDT 6140 has features similar to the PDT 6100 and is compatible with Symbol's Spectrum 24 IEEE 802.11 high-performing wireless LAN that provides instant host communication. This means you have options for collecting data easily and communicating it to your host computer, and for keeping track of information generated anywhere in your organization. For batch processing applications, RAM options from 640 KB to 7.6 MB are available.

The 8-line, 20 large-character LCD scanners use an internal nickel metal hydride rechargeable battery. The PDT 6140 scanner is engineered to withstand multiple four-foot drops on concrete and operate effectively in temperatures from 32° F to 104° F.

The adjustable hand strap provides users with a comfortable secure hold. The PDT 6140 allows for both left- or right-handed operation and a choice of conveniently spaced 35- or 46-key alphanumeric or 22-key numeric keyboard configurations for easy input- even for users who need to wear gloves.
