Intermec 2830

Intermec's series 2830 decoder offers high-speed processing and communication for quick data acquisition at a very high level of confidence. It's ideal for systems that rely on automated bar-code reading to make instant decisions. It's speed and versatile firmware give it advantages usually found only in more costly units.

Simple integration with the scanning system and host computer through easy-to-set, built-in firmware menus for communications, operations, code types, and user outputs.

2830 Facts: 1. The 2830 is a decoder only and requires a scan head for operation. It is one part of a two-piece solution. 2. The scan rate of the 2852 and 2830 combination is 330 scans per second. 3. Interface types available for the 2830 are RS-232-C, RS- 442 and RS-485 Multidrop.

Symbologies 2830 decodes are Code 39, Codabar (standard and concatenated), I 2/5, UPC A, UPC E, EAN, EAN 8, and Code 128.The 2830 can be connected to a 9154 or 9161 multidrop trunk line. Addresses are numeric, and the 9154 are alpha, so you will need to match them, i.e.1=mA, 2=mB, etc.In addition, you can read more than one barcode per read cycle with the 2830B. This feature is called 'multi-label feature' or in the Users Manual it is referred to as 'Number of Labels'. It is configurable for up to six barcodes per cycle.

Auto discrimination between all major codes, plus options for specialized codes. Works with the Intermec 2852 scan head only.
