The HHP Dolphin 7200 HomeBase is a charging and communication cradle for a Dolphin handheld computer. The HomeBase is a safe, convenient storage holder for a Dolphin terminal and a spare charged battery pack. The cradle is compatible with all models in the Dolphin 7200 family of handheld computers.
The HomeBase cradle can charge a Dolphin terminal and a spare battery pack simultaneously yet the terminal and spare battery charge independently. HomeBase senses when a battery pack is fully charged and then drops to a trickle charge to keep the battery at full capacity which protects batteries from damage caused by over charging.
Users can monitor the status of communications between the host computer and a Dolphin terminal with the COM LED and note charging status for spare battery pack with the CHARGING AUX BATT LED. An infrared data port uploads/downloads data to the Dolphin terminal at rates up to 115K baud without breakable mechanical connectors.
Multiple HomeBase cradles can be connected and networked to a single serial port on a host computer for mass programming and charging as units are individually addressable.
