The AP-3020 2 Megabit Spectrum24® Access Point, from Symbol Technologies is a fully IEEE 802.11 compliant device.
Double the bandwidth of the previous access point, it permits the throughput of more data at faster rates of transfer between hard-wired and wireless devices. Customers with 1 MB access points can upgrade them to 2 MB with the AP-3020, so protecting their investment and providing a smooth path to co-existence with future products.
The Symbol AP3020 offers the advantages of running on distributed low power in addition to mains supply. Distributed low power enables users to run cables in the same ducting as data cables, whereas mains cables must be run separately.
This benefit can substantially reduce installation costs in many applications. Symbol offers both single PSU and dual resilient PSU.
