The MECCO Hand-Held Bumpy Bar Code reader 1410 is a light-weight, portable reader that can be used at independent work-stations, or in the field to capture the encoded message.

These units are built with durable components for reliable use in harsh environments.Supported Bar Code Symbologies include Code 39, Code 128, Interleaved 2 of 5, UPC, Limited PosiCode B, and others.

The MECCO 1410 illuminates the bumpy bar code target with a laser, capturing the reflected image in a two-dimensional CCD.

The angular displacement between the laser and the CCD array at the bottom of the scanner allows detection of differences in height across the Bumpy Bar Code.Once captured by the CCD array, the reflected image is digitized and processed by an on-board Digital Signal Processor.
