Mecco BBC1010

The Mecco/Sensis BBC1010 is a light-weight, portable reader that can be used at independent work-stations, or in the field to capture the encoded message.

It is best suited for reading codes that are dot peened, etched or engraved into metals or other similar materials.

The BBC1010 reader's performance is optimized when used between 1.5 and 4.8-inch. It can read down to exceptionally small marks - those with an X dimension as small as 10 mil and a minimum bar code depth of 8-mil.

The Mecco bumpy bar code reader reads and decodes three-dimensional bar codes that are directly engraved or etched into the product. It works by illuminating the bar code target with a laser and capturing the reflected image in a two-dimensional CCD. Then the reflected image is digitized and processed by an on-board Digital Signal Processor (DSP) chip.
