Intermec WL11000-1

Intermec's MobileLAN card 11 is an Intermec developed, high-rate network interface card with an integrated antenna. Based on the IEEE 802.11b standard with connection speeds at 11Mbps, MobileLAN Card 11 allows high-rate connections and data transfers at speeds that rival costly T1 wired hookups.

The card equips mobile computers and wireless access points to communicate with a wireless LAN. Card 11 meets 802.11b standards and is Wi-Fi certified, so it works in existing 802.11b access points, radios, and 802.11b enabled mobile computers. It is compatible with most Windows® operating systems.

The MobileLAN 11 Card is enabled with 128 bit Wired Equivalent Privacy for data encryption, which is one important provision for the security of the wireless link between clients and access points.
