HP HBCR-8300
Hewlett Packard Smartwand HBCR-8300 code reader wand with RS-232, 9 pin Sub-miniature D type socket connector.
It has a 6' coiled DB9 cable and is configured via barcodes.
The HP HBCR-8300 uses a opto-electronic sensor head which may used to scan various types of barcodes, including Code 39, Extended Code 39, Interleaved 2 of 5, UPC/EAN/JAN, CODABAR, Code 128, Code 11, and MSI Code.It's Intel 8051 family micro controller operates under the control of a time interval acquisition module, a number of decoding modules, a code-converting module, and an initialization/communication module.
The various modules are in the form of firmware fixed in a ROM; non-volatile memory is used to store configuration data; a temporary store is also provided for the data being processed by the above mentioned modules.
