Cylink Link Encryptor HSSI

The Cylink Link Encryptor (CLE) HSSI (High-Speed Serial Interface) supports the X.509 digital certificate and 1024 bit DSS digital signature industry standards. X.509 defines what information can go into a certificate and the format in which it is to be recorded. DSS specifies a Digital Signature Algorithm (DSA) appropriate for applications requiring a digital rather than written signature. The DSA authenticates the integrity of the signed data and the identity of the signatory.

The CLE HSSI secures data transmitted over point-to-point links via high-speed WAN services. The system is completely transparent to leased-line transmission and terminal equipment and provides the highest level of data security available for a full range of network devices including routers, front-end processors, CSU/DSUs, PBX trunks, codecs, bridges and multiplexers. The CLE HSSI also features fully automated Diffie-Hellman key management to eliminate all the operational and maintenance costs of managing an encrypted network with manual key distribution. It is offered in DES and Triple-DES versions.
