Intermec has discontinued its production of these batteries for the retired Janus 2020 series readers. This includes all models of the Janus J2020, JR2020, JR2020G, and JG2020 portable data collection terminals.

With its unusual internal manual trigger mechanism, internal integrated circuit boards, redundant thermal protection and zero dimensional tolerance, this is a complicated battery pack to rebuild. It requires a high level of technical expertise, quality control, and a state-of-the-art facility to rebuild batteries to the exacting standards of the original equipment manufacturer.

Our rebuilding procedure incorporates thirty-three separate steps, eight of which are testing and re-testing. Due to the highly engineered design of the Janus series readers, the dimensional requirements of the battery pack must be tightly controlled. To ensure that they are easily inserted into the units, we adhere to the strictest engineering tolerances. Our rebuilt battery packs are comprised of the most powerful NiCad cell available and are cleaned and bonded using a specialized, high-tech industrial solution developed by Loctite® specifically for the type of plastics used in the 065557 battery case.

The 065557 replaces older Intermec Janus Battery 2020 models 059590 and 060785.
