The Intermec 1500 Laser Scanner packs exceptional laser scanning capabilities into a small, pistol grip design.Weighing a mere 8 oz the 1500 provides comfortable use in on-line, wedge and portable bar code scanning applications.

Excellent Dept of Field: The Intermec 1500 features solid-state, laser diode technology which allows for high and low density bar code to be scanned at a distance of up to 13-inch, depending on code density. It features a two-position trigger, first position for a high-intensity aiming spot, and second position for scanning.Bar codes placed on curved surfaces or pliable material can easily be scanned. The 1500 operates at 36 scans per second to provide the operator with a quick scanning sequence.

Ideal for Portable Applications: While the 1500 can be used in on-line and wedge scanning applications with a variety of Intermec readers, its low power draw - just 250 mA - makes the laser a real battery saver in portable reader applications.When used with the Intermec Trakker 9440, the Intermec 1500 scanner can operate up to two full work shifts (up to 6,000 one-second scans) before the 9440 's battery needs to be recharged.

Infrared Scanning Beam: With an infrared scanning beam, a majority of bar code (except bar code printed with non-infrared thermal paper) can be scanned.

A Rugged Performer in Industrial Environments: Solid state circuitry and surface mount electronics not only give the Intermec 1500 a small profile, but also an extra measure of protection. Components and optics stay secure, even when the scanner is subject to abuse in harsh environments.
