These units, plugged between each remote modem and PC, initiate a dual challenge/ response authentication process that ensures user authorization before starting a peer-to-peer or client - server session.
The AC431A Network Data Security also keeps intruders from eavesdropping on in-progress transmissions via real-time DES encryption of all data signals.
