The Spectrum 24 MS 1000 Mobility Server provides Kerberos authentication of client users within the Spectrum24 wireless LAN network. This dedicated module delivers security management with dynamic encryption key distribution by issuing a new and unique key to each user every session and at regular intervals.
The IP address assigned during installation provides Kerberos-enabled Access Points, System Administrators and Managers, access to the Spectrum24 Mobility Server.
The MS-1000 Mobility Server is deal for use in retail locations where it can be used in conjunction with Spectrum24 802.11b Access Points to support devices roaming in a store, such as mobile point-of-sale setups.
The MS1000 server runs the SuSE Linux 7.2 operating system, has a Web-based interface for configuration, and accepts Compact Flash cards for storage. It can be rack mounted,or put on a desktop or wall.
