HID AMH100
The HID AMH100 handheld reader is a unit designed to work in conjunction with a Symbol PDT-6100 hand held computer.
The AMH 100 handheld reader receives power as well as commands from the PDT6100.Together, the system is capable of reading to and from an IBM PC with the Asset ID Radio Frequency interface.
Asset ID is a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system. The system's cornerstone is a tag that is inserted on the motherboard of new IBM computers. This tag contains the latest configuration information of the PC - serial number, model, memory boards, etc. - and is automatically updated on boot up.
Through the use of technologies developed by HID Corporation(an RF reader, the AMH-100) and Symbol Technologies (a portable data terminal - PDT 6100), a customer can read the data contained on that tag without ever opening the carton.
