Symbol VCD 4612 Vehicle Cradles provide the capabilities for in-vehicle battery charging and two-way wireless communications for the PPT 4600. Together, these powerful tools extend your wireless enterprise network by transforming ordinary vehicles into productive, efficient mobile data centers.
The cradle takes just minutes to install on the dashboard, seat or floor, and has a wide variety of mounting options for all types of vehicles. Once installed, it Cradle provides power from the vehicle for PPT 4600 battery charging and communications functions.
Battery charging begins automatically when the PPT 4600 Terminal is inserted in the VCD-4612 Cradle; fully discharged batteries are recharged in less than 2 hours. LEDs on the front of the cradle clearly indicate when the power is ON, and the battery is being charged. When charging is complete, the cradle ceases drawing power from the vehicle.
The VCD4612 also has a special compartment for charging a spare battery pack. With a spare battery on hand, your workforce stays on the road and in the field for maximum productivity of your mobile operations.
