The Symbol MDM-8000 lightweight modem snaps onto the RS-232 port at the bottom of the PDT 8000 providing a convenient communications solution that allows for remote synchronization using a standard RJ11 telephone jack.
In addition to providing communication at 33.6 Kbps, this modem has the ability to charge the terminal battery in approximately two (2) hours.
