Sick PLS100 Laser Proximity Scanner. The PLS is an optical sensor which scans its surroundings with infrared laser beams. It is used to monitor a hazardous area on a machine or vehicle. The PLS can be used on manually controlled- vehicles, such as narrow-aisle forklifts and other lift trucks, as well as in driverless transport systems (DTS) such as shunting cars and free-navigating vehicles
